The Spring 2012 runway trends straddled both sides of the shade spectrum when it came to lip color; the shows either showcased a very muted, natural lip or they spotlighted bold, almost neon lip colors. Personally, I can’t wait for the latter trend – bright red, pink, coral and even orange tones are statement lipsticks. From Prabal Gurung to Jason Wu to Erdem, statement lips were a hit, and now celebs including Emma Stone, Jessie J, Nicole Richie and more, are wearing it too. I love bright colors, and am excited to use hot pinks and oranges to add a flash of color to my NYC street style this season.
